About
Originally built as a Junior high in 1963 Coffee County Junior High School served students in 7th through 9th grade until the 1990s when population growth in the county forced the district to look at options for housing more students.
Coffee County Schools began a construction plan in the early 90s with the plan of building a sixth grade wing at the junior high, moving 6th grade out of the elementary schools and moving 9th grade to the high school and creating a true middle school for Coffee County. The construction was completed in 1995 and Coffee County Middle School officially began serving grades 6 through 8 that year. As the population continued to grow in Coffee County, it became evident that another building plan would be necessary. In the 2010s, the district began to plan for a new Coffee County Middle school and in 2014 construction was completed on our current building.
CCMS welcomed students to a shiny new building made to serve 900 students in 2015. The new campus would have Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Football fields and in 2018 an indoor athletic facility would be added.
